Jr. Designer

Role Review
The Junior Interior Designer supports the design team in developing and executing residential design projects from concept through installation. This role assists with design development, sourcing materials and furnishings, preparing presentations, and maintaining project documentation while learning the firm’s design process and standards.

We are looking for a Junior Designer with 1–3 years of experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a collaborative studio environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design Support
-
Assist senior designer with the development of design concepts, mood boards, and presentations
-
Preparation of design drawings, floor plans, elevations, and renderings
-
Assist with space planning and furniture layouts
-
Help translate design ideas into clear visual presentations for clients
-
Provide general design support across multiple active projects
Sourcing & Materials
-
Research and source furniture, finishes, fabrics, lighting, and accessories
-
Coordinate with vendors, showrooms, and suppliers
-
Maintain and organize the studio’s material library and samples
-
Assist with product selections and specification documentation
-
Support the preparation of FF&E schedules and sourcing lists
Project Documentation
-
Prepare and maintain design documentation and specification sheets
-
Assist with updating project drawings and design revisions
-
Support project schedules and budgets
-
Ensure documentation remains accurate and aligned with project requirements
Additional Support
-
Assist in preparing client presentations, drawings, and meeting materials
-
Attend design meetings, vendor meetings, and site visits as needed
-
Take meeting notes and support follow-up action items
-
Assist with installation days, project styling, and photoshoots
-
Help keep project files, drawings, and selections organized across the studio
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
-
1–3 years of professional interior design experience
-
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit
-
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
-
Familiarity with Google Workspace
-
Strong portfolio demonstrating residential design thinking and attention to detail

Portfolio required with application
