Jen's Fall Stovetop Potpourri Recipe

Autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year. The air is chilly (but not yet freezing), friends and family start to gather for holiday parties and oversized sweaters are officially en vogue. It's also the time when I gather simple ingredients like cinnamon, apples and oranges to put together my all-time favorite stovetop potpourri. I'm telling you, simmering potpourri on your stovetop is one of the best ways to make your home feel inviting and cozy.

So ... from my kitchen to yours, please enjoy this easy recipe. If you end up making it, tag me on instagram at @interiorsbyjendavidson. I'd love to see how it turned out.

Fall Stovetop Potpourri Recipe

  • Apple slices

  • Orange slices with the peel

  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks

  • Handful of whole cloves

  • Water

Put ingredients into a medium-sized pot, fill with water and bring to a simmer. Simmer your potpourri 30 minutes before your guests arrive and keep it on the lowest setting for hours. When the water level gets low just top it off with fresh water.

Enjoy!
